November Circle Challenge

This months challenge was home made home decor. The requiremtents: At least 1 cricut cut, use the cuttlebug, use felt, and must have some green in it. So being Christmas is right around the corner I figured a great piece of decor would have to be Christmas decoration in the form of a Count Down Calender. Every year my kids start with the "How many day until Christmas" so now the will know.
I used a 12x24 sheet of Provo Craft paper. Cut it on my Expression using Celebrate with Flourish cartridge. I cut the tree to be 23.4". Once that was done I used some fun felt (already cut felt decorations) That is what the pink loops that I used for garland on the tree. I think cut out 24 circles in 2 differnt sizes using Christmas Cheer cartridge. They were cut out of scraps of paper that I put on my 12x24 mat and did the layout on the Gypsy.
I outlined the tree with green glitter glue and the star at the top with yellow glitter glue. I used a sticker that said Christmas Day on the top of the star. I used stickers to put numbers on all the circles and adhered them to the tree with my Pink ATG. I then decorated the tree with a bunch of candycane, lights, gingerbread men stickers . Just under the star I put a Flower that I made using the Rose/carnation Cuttlebug Quilling Kit. I accented that with Ranger Glossy Accents. I then coated the bottom of the tree with glue from my ATG and wrapped brown velvet ribbon around the trunk to finish it off. Once it dries it will go up on my wall for my kids to enjoy.
Oh and there is a circle ring cut out that will side over the top of any of the circles on the tree so each day we can move that along so they know how many days are left.

Weekly Challenge #7: Thank You Color Challenge

Here is my Thank You card. I used Story Book for the Thank You cut, and Best Friends Imagine Cart for the girls and the inside art. This challenge required the use of 4 colors: Magenta, Apricot, Deep Olive, and Golden Yellow. To make life easier to get the right color, I used the Program "Color Cop". That let me get the RGB codes directly off of the Weekly challenge color pallet so that I could then plug them into my Imagine. I picked the images that I wanted to use, then colored the words with the Magenta. I took the image of the two girls hugging and changed the one ladies hair color to golden yellow, because I'm a blonde so it just had to be done :-). I then changed the bracelets to deep olive and Apricot. I printed the background paper for the front of the card on the imagine to be apricot, then ran it through the cuttlebug using swiss dots. Inked the edges and dots with a deep olive ink. The inside I changed several of the layers to get more of the deep olive and magenta. Once everything was printed I ran everything through a xyron to make it sticky. Adhered everything where I wanted. I then took Glossy Accents and colored in the Thank You, the braclets, and highlights in both girls hair.

Christmas Ornament Challenge

Here is my entry for the Christmas Ornament Circle Challenge. I cut out the words and snowflakes on white vinyl on my Expression with the help of my gypsy. The flower on top was made by using the Cuttlebug Quilled Rose/Carnation Kit. The ornament started out as a plain glass ball. I poured floor wax/cleaner. Swirled it around so every part was coated and poured out all the extra. Then I poured cheap dollar section glitter from ACMoore. (I bought a red pack with various shades and mixed them in a container before using.)

911, Remember

September 11, 2001 is a day that I, as many pepople, will never forget. From the moment one of my friends called to say a Plane hit the World Trade Center to watching the news as the 2nd one hit, then the 3rd and 4th crash. I remember the absolute disbelief and horror of the day. Watching on the news as people jumped to their deaths out of the trade center. As a paramedic I have seen things that most people would never be able to comprehend, but this was so far above anything I could imagine. I was glued to the TV until going to work and then of course no one left the TV once there. It was absolutely heart breaking to see the loss of so many people, and to see all the emergency responders that lost their lives was devestating.
Here is a card I made to Remember 911

Phrase/Word Excel File

ok, I think I figured out how to do with. I created with the help of a bunch of great ladies on the circle board a complete list up to and including the new september carts, an excel file. It is broken down into to tab groups. 1 has the cartridges listed in alphabetical order and the 2nd tab has the words in alphabetical order. Here is a link to the file in google documents.

OK, it wouldn't let me cut and paste the code into posting block and for some reason I couldn't get the code to work that I typed into here, but I was able to paste it into the comment section. It doesn't show up as a link, but if you copy and paste the code it will take you to the file in google documents. I hope it will let you save it from there, if not let me know and I will keep emailing out the file

CM Cheerful Seasons

I got the new Creative Memories cartridges and started playing with the Cheerful Memories one today. Here are some of the images that I made. I still need to add a little bling or something to most of them, but I thought they were cute.

School Expression giveaway

After hitting a couple sales and ebay I picked up a couple carts for my kids school. Then I made this box to store them. I cut out images in vinyl from each of the cartridges and decorated the box.

Blackletter & October 31st

I absolutely Love Halloween, so I made a sign for my house. All it is, is a cardboard box that wasn't put together covered in ConTact paper with a wood grain. Then the words were done with Blackletter cricut cart done on a marble finished ConTact paper. The webs and spiders were done with vinyl using October 31st cricut cartridge. I outlined everything with sharpies. This is my project for the current Cricut Circle Contest :-)

Happy Haunting

So I snagged the new Happy Haunting Cricut Cart at AC Moore. And best yet it was on sale and I had a reward cert so it only cost $29.99 :-) I used a cuddlebug embossing folder to do the back ground of the card. inked that. Then did the Happy Halloween in glitter paper and colored the edges with a red marker that bleeds on paper :-) The pen isn't scrapbook safe, but works great for cards like this. The pumpkin is layer and inked. The eyes are Swarovski crystals that are heat set and the mouth is done with that bleeding marker.
